THE IMPORTANCE OF A MORNING ROUTINE

With everything you have to do during your busy day, it’s important that you start it off right! Having a consistent morning routine will not only help you in the moment, but it will also set you up to have a more productive, healthy day. Today we’ll be talking about the importance of morning routines and how to set one!

HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE MADE EASIER

When you have a plan in the morning, you can better prepare to have a healthier day. Not only will you be able to plan and prepare all of your meals, but you’ll also be able to get into a healthy mindset. You can do this by meditating, eating a healthy breakfast, or working out! Anything that will get you into that health-driven head space is a great way to start your day. You can even have a spouse or friend join you, that way you can establish a great morning routine together!

This is also a great time to prepare healthy meals for the day. You can find some easy meal prep recipes here, but we also suggest doing things like crock pot meals in the morning. That way a healthy dinner will be ready for you when you get home!

LESS STRESS

When you’re pressed for time in the morning, it makes it easier to slip into a stressed or negative mindset. By getting up earlier and establishing productive habits, you will reduce stress on yourself. This will lessen the negative impact on your mental and physical health. You will be much better off waking up a bit early to exercise or meditate than you would be snoozing your alarm and leaving the house with five minutes to spare!

SETTING THE ROUTINE

When scheduling out your morning, we recommend figuring out what things would make the rest of your day go by smoothly. Is there a chore that you dread doing? Do you find it hard to get your workout in after a long day? Do those things first! It will make the rest of your day go a lot smoother and will reduce the stress in your schedule. We also recommend taking time for yourself! This can be done through meditation, journaling, or having your breakfast alone in a quiet space (bonus points if it’s outside!) Take some time to clear your head and express gratitude. That way, you’ll be in a positive mindset for the rest of the day!
