4 Tips to Maintain Your Momentum

The 2019 Better Body Resolution has come to an end, and it’s been an incredible journey! Over the past six weeks, we’ve focused on healthy decisions that can help you transform your life physically. Now, we want to talk about how you can maintain the momentum you’ve created during the BBR!

1. Celebrate What You’ve Accomplished.

First things first: celebrate your progress! No matter where you are on your journey to optimal health, every step forward that you take counts as a success. Be sure to take pride in what you’ve accomplished and use that excitement to fuel your efforts going forward.

2. Consider What You’ve Learned.

To maintain your momentum, it’s important to consider what you’ve learned so far. You can then use your newfound knowledge to make it easier to stay on track. For example, if you found success when you did meal prep ahead of time, continue doing that. If you struggled to wake up in the morning to do your workout, try switching to the evening to see if that’s more feasible. By considering what you’ve learned over the past six weeks, you can better plan for your long-term health.

3. Develop Your Healthy choices into Habits.

Throughout the Better Body Resolution, you’ve focused on making healthy decisions. Now it’s time to take those healthy choices and turn them into habits! The more automatic you can make healthy behaviors, the easier it will be to maintain them long-term. Put yourself into a position to succeed by establishing a routine built around your healthy decisions. With time, they’ll develop into a habit.

4. SET NEW GOALS.

Finally, it’s time to keep moving forward by setting some new goals! Start by evaluating where you are in your journey to optimal health. If you haven’t reached your goals yet, that’s okay! Stay committed to reaching them and staying on track. If you have reached your goals, don’t just stop there. Set a new goal! For example, if you’ve reached your goal weight, a fitness-related goal is a great idea. By continually challenging yourself to reach new heights, you can make healthy living a priority long-term!
