5 Tips to Feel More Energetic

We’re two weeks into Get Slim for Summer, and we hope you’re participating with us! Throughout April and May, we’re focusing on working toward optimal health so you’re feeling great when summer rolls around.

Having the energy to transform your life is a key part of reaching your goals, so today we’re giving you five tips to help you feel more energetic throughout the day!

1. Eat a Healthy diet.

The way you eat makes a big difference in your energy levels. Heavy, unhealthy meals can lead you to feel tired and make it more difficult to feel energetic throughout the day. A well-balanced diet that focuses on lean protein, carbohydrates, fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats will help you feel your best, so if you want more energy, be sure to think about how you’re fueling your body!

2. Get Enough Sleep.

This may seem obvious, but getting enough sleep is a key part of feeling energetic. When you’re running low on sleep, it’s hard to have the energy you need to get through the day! Most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night to feel their best, so we encourage you to make that a priority. If that’s not something that comes easily to you, you can use Dream to promote a good night’s sleep.

3. Exercise.

It may seem counterintuitive, but rather than making you more tired, staying physically active can boost your energy. Research has shown that people who work out regularly experience reduced fatigue compared to people with a sedentary lifestyle. 4. HYDRATE.

Being dehydrated can make you feel tired, so drinking enough water throughout the day is an easy way to put a little more spring in your step. An easy way to estimate the amount of water you should be drinking is to divide your weight in half. That’s the number of ounces of water you should drink each day. For example, if you weigh 150 pounds, you’ll want to drink about 75 ounces of water on a daily basis. Keep in mind that the water you use for your Yoli drinks counts!
