Love is very important in order for us to thrive. There’s lots of different kinds of love. Platonic love, romantic love, and familial love are just a few you might think of off the top of your head. But, one of the most important kinds of love is self love. You should be your number one supporter, after all! Today we’ll share some simple ways to show yourself love.
One way to show yourself love, is by treating yourself every once in a while. You can do this by making your favorite dessert, getting some new clothes, or even just getting in some much needed alone time. Regardless of what you choose to do, deciding to spend some money and time on yourself can be a meaningful treat.
Pampering yourself can help reduce stress and raise self-esteem. It can also help you gain a better relationship with the most important person in your life—you. Just remember, there’s nothing wrong with making yourself the priority when you need to. And you don’t have to explain yourself, either!
take care of yourself
Showing yourself love isn’t just buying fancy things every once in a while. It also means taking care of every aspect of your health, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Now might be a good time to check in with yourself. Are you eating the right foods and getting enough exercise? Do you sleep well each night? Are you dealing with mental or emotional health issues in beneficial ways? If the answer to any of these questions is, “no,” now is the time to put a plan in place. You owe it to yourself to take care of your health.
Another great way to show yourself love is by verbally saying it. By practicing positive affirmations each day, you’ll feel happier, be more successful, and have more of a positive sense of self. If you aren’t sure what affirmations to start with, here are some ideas:

- I am strong.
- I am important.
- I am successful.
Just repeat these out loud whenever you need an extra boost.
