BBR Challenge #6: Bodyweight Circuit

It’s the final week of our BBR Six-Week Challenge, and we’ve got something special in store for you! Yoli Emerald Anthony Sanchez put together a bodyweight circuit that will help you create an exercise habit. You can check out the video here and post a picture or short video of yourself completing the challenge in the comments of that post for your chance to win!

This Week’s Challenge

The bodyweight circuit consists of the following exercises:

  • Jumping jacks
  • High knees
  • Squats
  • Push-ups
  • Plank

For this circuit, you’ll do thirty seconds of exercise followed by thirty seconds of rest. That means you’ll do thirty seconds of jumping jacks, thirty seconds of rest, thirty seconds of high knees, thirty seconds of rest, and so on. We’ll post two videos during the week to help you learn proper form for push-ups and squats, so keep an eye out for them!

Tips for Your Workout

Here are some tips to complete this week’s challenge and make exercise part of your routine!

  • It’s okay to scale the workout based on your needs. If it’s been a while since you’ve worked out, start out slow and build your way up. You want to challenge yourself, but you don’t want to push yourself too hard and cause an injury. Listen to your body!
  • Give yourself time to cool down after you work out. Some light stretching is also a good idea.
  • This exercise routine will help you work up a sweat, so stay hydrated with plenty of water and Yoli’s sports hydration drink, Fun.
  • After you work out, drink a glass of YES for an easy and delicious serving of protein!
