Today is the final day of Get Slim for Summer, and we hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as we have! It’s been an incredible eight weeks, and we’ve loved watching so many of you transform your lives. Remember, optimal health is a lifelong endeavor, so here is a guide for continuing your transformation!
Consider your goals.
Start by taking a look at the goals you set at the beginning of your transformation. If you haven’t reached your goals, using the Transformation Kit again is a great option. It will help you use the healthy habits you’ve formed to continue working toward optimal health. And because you’ve already done it once, you know what to expect so you can hit the ground running!
If you have reached your goals, congratulations! Make sure you take some time to celebrate, and then start thinking about what you want to do next. Your goals will determine your actions, so make sure you set specific short-term and long-term goals that will help you continue your transformation. Then start working to accomplish them!
Focus on your diet.
Your diet will play a huge role in continuing your transformation. Whether or not you’re using the Transformation Kit, you can use the food lists and the meal plan found in your BBS brochure to guide your food choices. If you’re at your goal weight, you may want to increase the size of your portions if hunger is an issue and add in a portion of carbohydrates on your Protein Days, but sticking to the meal plan for the most part will help you continue to transform your life.
Exercise is an important part of continuing your transformation because in addition to burning calories, exercise helps you maintain your cardiovascular health, build and maintain lean muscle mass, develop strong bones, control your weight, and even boost your metabolic rate. If you’re not used to exercising regularly, start out slow and build up to exercising 30-45 minutes three to five times a week!
As you continue to transform your life, don’t forget to have some fun along the way! One of the best parts of improving your health is the ability to do the things you love, so make sure you take advantage of the opportunities you have. Whether you want to try something new or rediscover an old hobby, doing fun things can be a great part of continuing your transformation!
