We’re now in the fifth week of the Better Body Resolution, which gives us just a week and a half until we wrap things up on February 10. As we get closer to the end of the BBR, it’s time to start thinking about how you’re going to continue your transformation. Here are some tips for maintaining the momentum you’ve built up throughout the BBR!
Focus on building healthy habits.
Maintaining momentum is all about turning your healthy choices into habits. When making healthy decisions becomes second nature to you, it’s much easier to stay on-track. Put yourself in a position to succeed by keeping junk food out of your house, prepping your meals in advance, and drinking water or your favorite Yoli beverage rather than soda or juice. As you continue to do these things, they’ll develop into habits!
Remember your why.
To maintain your momentum, it’s important to remember why you started transforming your life in the first place. If you haven’t done so already, write down your why statement and keep it somewhere you’ll see it on a regular basis. By consistently reminding yourself of why you want to reach your goals, you’ll find it much easier to maintain your momentum no matter what obstacles you encounter.
Continually set new goals.
Setting new goals is a great way to keep your momentum. Once you’ve reached one of your goals, celebrate what you’ve accomplished and then immediately set a new goal! For example, if you’ve reached your weight loss goal, why not set a fitness-based goal to put your newfound energy to work?
Be kind to yourself.
As you continue to transform your life, you’re going to run into obstacles, and you’ll probably slip up from time to time. It’s easy to feel discouraged when you get off-track, but beating yourself up for it will kill the momentum you’ve worked so hard for. Instead, be kind to yourself, leave your slip-up behind you, and focus on getting back on-track!
