One of the most exciting parts of making healthy lifestyle changes is being able to see yourself progressing, and there’s nothing more motivating than seeing the steps you’re taking toward your goals. As you work to transform your life, make sure you track your progress!

Track your weight.

While optimal health is the ultimate purpose of the Better Body System, many people get started on the Transformation Kit to lose some weight. If that’s your goal, make sure you weigh yourself regularly and keep track of your results. The scale isn’t a perfect reflection of your transformation—it doesn’t reflect body composition changes—but it’s a great way to see yourself progressing. You can use the Yoli BBS app or the BBS brochure that came in your Transformation Kit to keep track of your progress!

Track your measurements.

Tracking your measurements is a great way to see how your body is changing. A lot of people will see changes in their measurements even if the number on the scale isn’t shifting dramatically because their bodies are changing in different ways.

As you begin your transformation, you’ll want to take measurements around your waist, thighs, arms, and  hips. Each week, take them again to note the changes. You can track your measurements in the Yoli BBS app and the BBS brochure!

Take pictures.

A lot of people skip taking their before pictures because they don’t want the reminder of their current state, but you’ll definitely want to be able to look back and see how far you’ve come once you’ve reached your goals!

You don’t need to go all out for your before pictures, but there are some guidelines to help you get the most out of them. First, make sure you’re wearing form-fitting clothes rather than loose clothes. Second, take three pictures: one from the front, one from the back, and one from the side. Finally, take the picture in portrait mode and keep it close enough to see some details!

Track any other goals.

If you’re not working to lose weight, you can still track your progress! For example, if your goals are fitness-centered, keep track of your workouts to see how you’re progressing. If you want to add twenty pounds to your deadlift, keep track of your lifts as you work your way up to the heavier weight. If you want to shave thirty seconds off of your mile time, track your runs as you increase your pace. Doing so will help you stay focused on reaching your goals!
