Stay hydrated.

Hydration always matters, but it’s especially important when it’s hot outside because you’re more likely to become dehydrated. When the weather is warm, be sure to drink plenty of water and your favorite Yoli beverages, such as Truth, so you can stay hydrated!

Avoid sunburn.

Being outside in the sunshine feels great, but those UV rays can cause some serious damage to your skin! Take care to avoid sunburn by using sunscreen and staying in the shade as much as possible. You should also be sure to wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from the bright sunlight!

Eat light.

Comfort food is great, but hot, heavy meals aren’t going to do you any favors when it’s warm outside. Summer is a great time to eat light foods, especially ones that are cool. For some easy healthy treats that will help you beat the heat, click here!

Exercise thoughtfully.

The warm weather can throw a wrench in your exercise routine, but it doesn’t have to be that way. If you love to exercise in the great outdoors, think about the weather before you venture outside. Try exercising in the morning or the evening when it’s cooler outside. If you can’t avoid exercising while it’s hot, be sure to drink plenty of water and take it easy if you need to. You could also go the gym on hot days, where you can work out with the benefit of air conditioning!

Dress for the weather.

If you’re going to be outside when the weather is warm, be sure to dress appropriately so you don’t get overheated. Wear light, breathable clothing that doesn’t make you feel weighed down, and use a hat to protect your head from the rays of the sun. And like we said above, do everything you can to avoid getting sunburned!
